15 Feb Book Release
Exciting News About My Book!
The one good thing about Covid for me personally is that I gave myself the goal of finally finishing my book! I am proud to share that I not only finished my book, but I found a wonderful agent and the perfect publisher as well. The title is Successfully Navigating your Parents’ Senior Years: Critical Information to Maximize Their Independence and Make Sure they Get the Care they Need. It will be officially released March 23 and is available on any major book site. Visit my book landing page to see your book site options!

I wrote my book for anyone dealing with the confusing world of senior living and senior healthcare. While the book is oriented for those helping parents, this can include caring for any loved one, sibling, aunt or uncle, grandparents, or those with parents in their 60’s or in their 90’s! I have had many friends tell me they intend to buy my book and gift it to their children! Good idea!!
My book provides a framework and applies two critical principles that can be applied to any situation at any stage of life. It is never too soon to develop a plan to age successfully or help others focus on developing a plan for themselves. Waiting for a crisis or a health emergency is too late. There are so many things you can do now to help yourself and your adult children be prepared. If your plan is to age in place (stay in your home) please make sure to read my chapter on this topic. If you would like to know more about different types of senior living options, especially about life care communities (like Oak Hammock) I devote an entire chapter to this complex subject.
Long term planning is not about making long term decisions, it is about understanding the consequences of TODAY’S decisions for your own future. NOW is the time, long before any crisis, to develop a plan that will allow you to age successfully…or your loved ones. Everyone can agree that they want to stay as independent as possible for as long as possible! This will only happen with lots of discussion, forethought, and planning.
